Inventory ManagerThis position is accountable for maintaining stock integrity through purchasing and transferring beer and monitoring sales. The purchaser is responsible for managing the entire inventory of goods for resale by maintaining proper inventory amounts to meet sales goals while simultaneously monitoring stock levels of perishable items to control shrink.Qualifications1+ years industry experience or equivalentAbility to work with computer programs associated with the performance of the positionRequires the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. Must be a proactive self-starter and self-learnerMust be able to function in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to rapidly changing prioritiesMust be able to handle confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional mannerRequires excellent interpersonal skills.

Must be a team player with the ability to work with a variety of people at all levelsBe able to communicate and effectively interact with vendorsUp to date with current industry trendsAbility to generate inventory turns and product movementAbility to ensure low out-of-stocks by monitoring stock levels forecasting effectivelyAbility to review and analyze inventoryAbility to communicate new product information to team membersMS Office environment experience required, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power PointRequires excellent written and oral communication skills. Adhere to dress code standards governing appearanceAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guestsAble to work with minimum supervisionAnalytical and attention to detail to maintain precise standardsJob DutiesMaintains an up-to-date Task & Duty Processes notebook for this position to be utilized by backup personnel in case of extended or unexpected absencesKnow our breweries pull date system and recognize out-of-code itemsPurchase beer from breweries according to scheduleCheck and maintain beer inventory dailyPurchase and sell beer from/to other distributors as necessaryArrange transportation to and from the breweriesConsolidate our breweries loads to company warehouses on a weekly basisPeriodically check truck rates for cost reliabilityWork with accounting to file claims with breweries and trucking companies as needed and follow up on credits receivedPerform product costing of freight for new productsPrepare the monthly forecastPrepare depletion reports for suppliersPrepare the weekly code date report / out-of-stockAttend a weekly staff meeting to review and discuss inventory issues with other departmentsCommunicate with the warehouse about incoming loads and other statusTrack orders and make order changes when neededTrack forecasts to prevent any future problemsAssist Wichita Beer by arranging transportation for their weekly beer order and helping with close datesCommunicate with area sales managers concerning inventory problems such as dateTraining seminars, training films and in-house training will be provided as necessary to expand product knowledge and to improve performanceKeep up with product promotions, incentives and price changes that may affect inventory of the productPerform other duties as directed by managementAttend company meetings as requestedFollows company policies & proceduresMaintain open and clear communications with the managers and other employees of the companyMaintain forward thinking and bring positive feedback and ideas to the General ManagerHave a positive attitude about the company and all of your fellow employees when in discussions with othersThis list is not all inclusive but rather an overview of the role's primary work duties.
