Lead with purpose at DFPS. We’re seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to direct the Purchased Client Services (PCS) Division and advance contracting operations that are vital to our mission. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the PCS Director V provides strategic leadership across multiple contract programs, driving operational excellence, innovation, and compliance with state and federal requirements. This role offers an opportunity to shape contracting governance, develop high-performing teams, manage complex budgets, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, making a meaningful difference for the customers DFPS serves.
Registrations, Licensure Requirements or Certifications:
Certified Texas Contract Management or receive within 12 months.
Initial Selection Criteria
- A Bachelor’s degree in Contract Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Note: Experience in contract management work may be substituted for the four-year degree on a year-for-year basis.
- At least 5 years managing large-scale programs, divisions, or agencies with diverse teams on human resource or workforce related issues, and
- At least 5 years in a consultative, supervisory, or project management capacity overseeing complex initiatives or organizational objectives.
- Experience in the management and direction of a program relevant to contract management.
- Experience in the state agency legislative process.
- Experience in data analysis, program evaluation, and performance management tactics.
