Job TitleOhio Gasket and Shim is a Stamping and Fabrication shop that is seeking a 1st Shift Punch Press Die Setter / OperatorThe hours for a 1st Shift Position - flexible hours - M-TH 10 hrs or M-F 8 hrs or M-TH 9 hrs & F 4 hrs - starting time can be discussed.This position is responsible for the proper setup, operation and maintenance of equipment with Progressive Dies, Compound Dies, and Single-Hit tooling.Essential FunctionsSafety - knowledge, understanding and ability to follow lockout/tagout procedure/program, press guarding, pullbacks and PPEStage work site and prepare press of setup - follow procedures and setup area for productionPrepare die(s) for installationSetup press and install die(s)Prepare and adjust uncoiler and straightenerMake a quality piece partRun production when all machines have been setupOther duties as assignedSkills and RequirementsBasic blueprint readingBasic reading and math skillsAt least 5 years Punch Press Operator experience in a Metal Stamping environmentPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
