Pump Technician/MechanicDirect hire opportunity for a Pump Technician/Mechanic at an industry leading industrial pump manufacturer's service center. This position is located in Shreveport, LA and is only open to local candidates at this time - no relocation is available. Position is a first shift position working in a climate controlled shop environment.
Technician will be tearing down, troubleshooting, repairing, and reassembling a variety or centrifugal pumps.Technician:5+ years overall pump repair experience (not installation)Experience at an OEM or significant pump repair shopRepair experience on API type pumpsFamiliar with pump metallurgy fundamentals and rotating equipment operation and clearancesExtensive experience performing repair and rebuild on various style pumps such as, horizontal multistage, vertical, overhung, split case, etc.Experience using precision measuring instruments (analog mics, dial calipers, depth gauges, etc.)Must have a good set of hand tools with sockets & wrenches up to 1"Physical Demand: Stand for long periods of time lifting up to 50lbsWorking Conditions: Climate controlled shop environmentTraining/Certifications: N/AShift Time/Overtime: First shift - 7am - 3:30pm, overtime and Saturdays as needed or requiredTravel: N/AEducation: High School/GED or equivalent experience.Employer offers a comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending, 401(k), paid holidays, Life and Disability Insurance, and additional supplemental products.
