We have an opening for a Pump Application Engineer located in Hammond, Louisiana.Summary Of Primary ResponsibilitiesOversee the initial design and quotation of pre-sale engineered pump and fan systems based on customer specifications. To include, but not limited to:Working with customers and outside salesman to gain the required system details.Provide technical assistance to customers as needed.Apply technical knowledge to properly design new pump and fan systems.Work with vendors to source necessary project quotes.Create bill of materials to determine Voigt-Abernathy project costs for accurate quoting.Create drawing requests based on quoted engineered packages.Check project approval drawings for accuracy based on quoted system.Be organized and keep sufficient records of all engineered projects for company reference.Summary Of Flex ResponsibilitiesAttend pump schools and training as required.Contribute to new ideas for company continuous improvement projects.Assist with inventory management as needed.Assist with quality control as needed.QualificationsBachelor's in mechanical, civil or industrial engineering preferred3 years of Pump application engineering or inside pump sales experience will be considered in lieu of degreeProject management experience desiredStrong technical mechanical and electrical aptitudeExcellent communication skillsVoigt-Abernathy offers competitive pay, medical, dental and vision benefits, 401(k), and 401(k) matching, PTO and many other excellent benefits.
