Position Overview
Pioneer Pulmonology, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is seeking a Pulmonary Critical Care Physician with interest or experience in EBUS procedures to join our physician-owned practice as we expand comprehensive pulmonary and lung nodule services in Tarpon Springs, Florida. This role blends inpatient consultative and ICU coverage, EBUS procedures, and outpatient pulmonary/lung nodule clinic responsibilities within a collaborative, innovation-driven clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inpatient Pulmonary & Critical Care

  • Provide week on/week off hospital coverage with 8 hour daytime shifts managing ICU patients, pulmonary consults, and inpatient follow up.
  • Partner with nocturnist critical care APPs who provide overnight ICU coverage, with remote physician availability during service weeks.


Outpatient Pulmonary & Lung Nodule Clinic

  • Maintain an outpatient clinic presence during non hospital weeks, including general pulmonary care and dedicated lung nodule evaluations.
  • Support timely access for incidental and screening detected nodules through coordinated diagnostic pathways.


EBUS Procedures

  • Perform EBUS procedures and support diagnostic evaluation for lung nodules and related pulmonary conditions.
  • Participate in the growth and refinement of pulmonary and lung nodule services, including coordinated diagnostic workflows and technology adoption.


Multidisciplinary Collaboration

  • Engage in multidisciplinary tumor boards and partner closely with thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, and critical care teams.
  • Contribute to program development, care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree; board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
  • Fellowship training is preferred.
  • Experience with EBUS procedures and lung nodule management is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care.
