Sanford Health is seeking a Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care physician to join its busy and growing practice. This role offers a combination of pulmonology and critical care, with access to multiple specialty services and a large referral base. The position is based in Bemidji, a community recognized for its natural beauty and outdoor activities.

- Established hospitalist program
- 14 ICU beds in a 118-bed hospital
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultative services to patients of all ages presenting with conditions, disorders, and diseases of the lungs and airways
- Provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies
- Assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical policy regarding emergency and consultative call services

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Active involvement in at least 50 pulmonary disease cases in the last 12 months (demonstrated via log, quality profile, or documentation of clinical activity)
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program
- Completion of a fellowship program in Pulmonary Disease accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training
