Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Pulmonary/Critical Care physician to join their well-established team at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI. This role involves providing specialized care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases and critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. The physician will engage in both outpatient pulmonary medicine and inpatient critical care, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex pulmonary conditions and critical illnesses.

Practice Info

  • Join a well-established team of experienced physicians and Advanced Practice Providers at a Tertiary Care Hospital/Teaching Hospital.
  • 50:50 Pulmonary: Critical Care Split.
  • Recent addition of the lung nodule clinic; onsite thoracic surgeon to collaborate with.
  • Dedicated bronchoscopy suite.
  • State-of-the-art Cancer Center with monthly Lung-Tumor Board meetings.
  • Interventional Radiology on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases.
  • Provide specialized care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU).
  • Engage in outpatient clinic and inpatient consults for pulmonary cases.
  • Perform critical care procedures including Navigational Bronchoscopy, central line, ECMO, and chest tube placement.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage complex pulmonary conditions, critical illnesses, and multisystem organ failure.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
  • Be involved in medical education and research.

Shift & Schedule

  • Pulmonary portion is M-F no weekends or after hours!
  • 2 weeks of pulmonary each month, consists of both outpatient clinic and inpatient consults.
  • Approx. 7 inpatient Critical Care shifts each month.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
  • Current medical license in each state of practice.
  • State Controlled Substance License (if required by State).
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.
  • BC in Pulmonary Disease & Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada).
  • If physician is not board certified upon commencement of employment, they must achieve board certification as outlined in the privileging documents.
  • H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available.
