Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician

SSM Health - Illinois seeks a Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician to join its established pulmonary service line in Mt. Vernon and Centralia, Illinois. This employed position offers the opportunity to practice at a brand new facility, splitting time between outpatient pulmonary care and inpatient critical care. The role features an attractive compensation package with a guaranteed base salary of up to $550,000 and no call responsibilities for the pulmonology specialty.

Practice Info

• Practice at a brand new facility
• State-of-the art Sleep Center located on the site of the physicians' clinic
• Established hospitalist program available for inpatient admissions
• Facility is a not-for-profit Catholic institution affiliated with SSM Health Illinois
• Employed position with hospital-affiliated medical group
• 250,000 population service area covering 9 counties

Responsibilities

• Will be responsible for working .75 FTE as a Pulmonary physician, doing both pulmonary clinic and pulmonary consults and procedures
• Will be responsible for working .25 FTE as a Critical Care physician providing services in our 16-bed Critical Care Unit
• Work both in the clinic and the hospital
• While on clinic weeks, will be responsible for outpatient clinics, pulmonary consults, pulmonary procedures and outreach clinics

Compensation

• Guaranteed base salary ranging from $525,000 to $550,000 (based on experience)

Requirements

• Completed an ACGME-accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care
• Be Board Certified (or eligible) in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
• Illinois license preferred, but not required
