Under general direction of the Program and Project Supervisor, incumbent serves in a staff and sometimes lead capacity responsible for evaluating, updating, implementing, and enforcing the operation, maintenance, performance, and safety standards of electric generating facilities and energy storage systems. Incumbent conducts complex technical research and policy analysis of electric generating facilities and energy storage systems in California.

Department Information

Safety and Enforcement Division (SED)/ESRB - Generation Energy Storage Section

  • The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing policy and technical research related to safety and reliability of electric and communication infrastructures, and generation facilities.
  • Experience in preparing complex technical and policy reports and making recommendations to assist management.
  • Knowledge of General Orders 167-C, and Public Utilities Code.
  • Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and synthesizing complex data accurately, how you take effective action, and make sound decisions.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and enforcing electric and communication facility and power generating facility operations and maintenance standards, safety regulations, and the Commission's General Orders.
