  • The employee shall possess a master's degree in public health or related discipline, in conjunction with at least 5 years' experience working in a public health, community health, or aerospace medicine clinic and a strong knowledge of epidemiology
  • The employee shall be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the public health field, and have experience developing, administering and analyzing surveys and/or questionnaires for research and/or occupational health questions.
  • The employee shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience with epidemiology in a healthcare or military environment.
  • The employee shall possess the ability to design, formulate, conduct, and lead data analysis of operational studies on health surveillance data/health records/other relevant military records and risk reduction of negative health outcomes, readiness, or duty restrictions affecting the USAF total force population.
  • The employee shall possess the capacity to use and/or learn new analytical technology tools such as Envision, Tableau, Python, R, SAS Viya, or Qualtrics
  • The employee shall possess technical writing and presentation skills, including the ability to conduct scientific literature reviews, and prepare technical reports, white papers, publications, memorandums, presentations, and other products.
  • The employee shall apply and provide all information, in a timely manner, related to obtaining access to databases and data required to perform duties. The employee shall be professional, detail oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and speak English fluently.
  • The employee shall have the ability to thrive in a team environment, yet able to complete assigned tasks independently or with minimal guidance from team leads.
  • The contract employee shall possess: organizational skills; the ability to achieve set goals; initiative in performing assigned tasks; ability to follow-up complex projects with influence, and integrity; and ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel within and outside of the organization.
  • The employee shall have a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place with their company based on the potential access to confidential, proprietary, and/or sensitive information. The NDA shall be provided to the Government Program Manager by start of performance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior military experience, or previous experience working in a military research environment, is desired.
