As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist to provide skilled and medically necessary treatment interventions. Your role will be crucial in helping patients regain their physical functioning and improve their quality of life. You will be responsible for:
- Utilizing evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
- Administering rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, and therapeutic exercises
- Assessing patient progress and communicating with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments
- Providing consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
- Documenting all required information in the electronic documentation system
- Participating in patient care conferences and required meetings
- Supervising and supporting students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist
- Adhering to APTA and State Required practice acts and ethics
- Active State Licensure in Missouri
- Need 1 year experience in setting
- LTC or SNF Experience
- PTA license
- New Grads OKAY with Level II experience
