Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities. The Physical Therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves, while also performing other professional duties related to patient care and development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Completes a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients and develops appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to address all barriers to discharge.
• Manages individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Documents patient care activities clearly and in a timely manner.
• Participates in student programs and provides a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursues professional development and participates in advocacy efforts.
• Adheres to discipline-specific state practice acts and maintains professional licensure.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current State license as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation or neuro experience is required.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a weekend rotation.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
