Position Overview: As a Psychologist at Priority Group Services, you will be instrumental in providing psychological assessments, interventions, and therapeutic support to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Psychological Assessments:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to understand the emotional and behavioral needs of children and adolescents.
- Utilize standardized testing and clinical interviews to inform diagnostic impressions.
- Individual and Group Therapy:
- Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy to children and adolescents.
- Collaborate with clients and their families to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team:
- Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate holistic care.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss cases and develop integrated treatment strategies.
- Crisis Intervention:
- Offer crisis intervention and support to clients during challenging situations.
- Collaborate with the team to develop crisis prevention plans.
- Treatment Planning and Review:
- Contribute to the development and review of individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor and assess treatment progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide written reports and updates to the team as required.
Qualifications
- Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the state of New Jersey.
- Experience in child and adolescent psychology preferred.
- Strong assessment, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
