Are you looking for your next California locums assignment? A respected community behavioral health organization in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist to join a collaborative outpatient team serving adults with complex behavioral health needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for psychiatrists who enjoy working with seriously mentally ill adults in a community focused setting while maintaining a balanced schedule that includes both in person and remote patient care.
Opportunity Highlights
Adult outpatient psychiatry
Hybrid schedule with a mix of onsite and telepsychiatry services
Full time schedule, 30 to 40 hours per week
Long term assignment with extension potential
Dedicated administrative time built into the schedule
Average patient volume of 10 to 15 patients per day
60 minute initial evaluations
30 minute follow up appointments
Collaborative multidisciplinary treatment team
Bay Area location with access to world class dining, recreation, and cultural attractions
Clinical Practice
Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment planning for adults experiencing:
Serious mental illness (SMI)
PTSD and trauma related disorders
Schizophrenia spectrum disorders
Mood and anxiety disorders
ADHD
Co occurring substance use disorders
Psychiatrists with community mental health, county behavioral health, conservatorship, board and care, or public sector experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Ideal Candidate
Available for a hybrid assignment with regular onsite presence
Experience treating adults with complex psychiatric conditions in outpatient or community settings
Comfortable working with underserved and high acuity populations
Active California medical license preferred
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
