We are seeking a Locum Tenens Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to provide full-time psychiatric care in New York, NY. The psychiatrist will work on a Transition to Home Unit (THU) serving adult patients with a history of homelessness.
The multidisciplinary team focuses on rehabilitation, recovery, and successful reintegration into the community .

Job Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Perform standardized risk assessments
- Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Lead a weekly medication education group
- Provide teaching and supervision of medical students as needed
- MD or DO
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency
- Active New York State medical license
- ABPN Board Certified in Psychiatry
- Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience
- Medicare enrolled
- Medicaid enrolled
