Physician - Psychiatry
Job Details:
- Locum Tenens opportunity providing comprehensive psychiatric services across multiple care settings in Anchorage, AK
- Full-time need with a 7 days on/7 days off flex schedule, with two Psychiatrists working in tandem to create daily coverage
- 10-hour shifts from 8am-6pm; provider must remain on-site for the full 10 hours
- Overnight call schedule follows the same 7 days on/7 days off rotation with very low call volume (Weeknight Beeper Call)
- Up to 20 patient encounters per shift
- Provide inpatient psychiatric services across adult and adolescent mental health units
- Support community behavioral health programs and psychiatric emergency services
- Perform hospital-based consult liaison work supporting medical floors and pediatric services
- Future involvement with new Crisis Stabilization Center opening Winter 2026
- Must be Board-Certified in Psychiatry
- Must have experience treating patients ages 12 and up
- Active DEA required
- BLS certification required
- Must be willing to support inpatient, consults, and Crisis Stabilization Center responsibilities
- Active AK license required or Letter of Qualification through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) accepted; willing to license clean applicants (5-6 week process)
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
- Required clinical skills include: anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, and psychotic disorders
- Long-term housing accommodations available with pre-approval
- Start date: ASAP through 1 year
