Psychiatry Physician

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients presenting with mental, emotional, and behavioral health conditions.
• Manage a patient panel through ongoing medication management, follow-up appointments, and evidence-based treatment interventions.
• Assess approximately 7 to 11 patients daily while maintaining high standards of clinical quality and patient-centered care.
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications in accordance with current medical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address psychiatric, psychological, and psychosocial needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, therapists, social workers, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Conduct risk assessments related to crisis situations, suicidality, substance use disorders, and behavioral health emergencies.
• Support trauma-informed care initiatives and integrate knowledge of historical trauma, domestic violence, addiction, chronic pain, and developmental concerns into treatment planning.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment options, wellness strategies, and long-term recovery goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation within the electronic medical record system.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state, federal, and organizational privacy and confidentiality requirements.
• Participate in clinical case reviews, peer consultations, quality improvement initiatives, and provider meetings.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of quality management and performance improvement programs.
• Review patient outcomes and recommend enhancements to clinical workflows and treatment processes.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining clinical practice standards and evidence-based treatment protocols.
• Promote mental health awareness through educational outreach and community engagement activities.
• Support care coordination efforts with behavioral health programs, case management teams, and community resources.
• Develop treatment recommendations that align with patient goals, cultural considerations, and best practices in psychiatric medicine.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and modify care plans based on clinical response and evolving patient needs.
• Provide consultation to healthcare providers regarding psychiatric diagnoses, medication management, and behavioral health concerns.
• Participate in interdisciplinary discussions focused on improving patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
• Maintain current knowledge of psychiatric research, emerging treatment modalities, and regulatory changes affecting clinical practice.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect while serving diverse patient populations.
• Uphold ethical standards and professional conduct in all clinical interactions and decision-making processes.
• Assist in the identification of service gaps and opportunities to improve access to mental health care.
• Support initiatives designed to enhance patient engagement, treatment adherence, and overall wellness.
• Maintain all required professional licenses, certifications, registrations, and continuing medical education requirements.
• Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned to support organizational objectives and patient care excellence.

• Board Certified Psychiatrist.
• Active and unrestricted California medical license.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum two years of clinical practice experience in a community-based healthcare setting preferred.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Strong understanding of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management.
• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to culturally responsive, patient-centered care.
• Valid California driver's license.

Salary: Up to $447,210 annually
