Job Summary
Assumes overall clinical responsibility for monitoring patient treatment and staff delivery of clinical services. Provides psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment, clinical supervision, education, and training. Work is performed under the direction of the Chair, Department of Psychiatry, and is subject to review for adherence to best‑practice and evidence‑based psychiatric principles and techniques through utilization review, case reports, observation, and evaluation of results.
Responsibilities
- Manage a wide range of outpatient psychiatric care.
- Cover emergent needs and perform on‑call duties as required.
- Provide clinical supervision, education, and training.
- Adhere to evidence‑based practices and review protocols as directed by the Chair.
Education Requirements
- MD or DO
- Licensed or eligible to practice medicine in Pennsylvania
- Board‑Certified in Psychiatry (BE/BC)
- Completed all required competencies and trainings for the role
Experience
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency psychiatry
Certification and Licensure
- BLS Certification
- Physician license and DEA license
- Current Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine License
