Position Overview
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, affiliated with Queens Hospital Center, is seeking a full‑time board‑certified or board‑eligible Psychiatrist for their ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) program. All faculty have an academic appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Serve as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide overall clinical responsibility for monitoring client treatment and coordinating staff delivery of clinical services.
- Conduct psychiatric assessment and treatment in the community and coordinate the client’s medical care with their psychiatric treatment.
- Work 32 hours in ACT and 8 hours in the CPEP, with opportunities to teach and mentor psychiatry residents and medical students in the Queens Hospital Center Residency Training Program.
Qualifications
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible psychiatrist with experience treating severe and persistent mental illness.
- Knowledge of the ACT model of care.
- Current New York State medical license, Medicaid number, and DEA number.
Compensation
Salary range: $261,000 to $281,000 per year (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits). Faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Health System.
