Facility:
This is a private non-profit organization in Pittsburgh, PA offering inpatient and outpatient treatment for adults and young adults seeking help with substance use disorders. This 30-bed facility treats a patient population that is roughly 70% men and 30% women, addressing addictions ranging from alcohol, opioids, heroin, and THC, among others. Programs include anger management, brief intervention, cognitive behavioral therapy, contingency management, and motivational interviewing. The facility collaborates closely with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) to coordinate patients' primary and after-care medical needs.

Opportunity:
Psychiatric MD/DO Telehealth, Addiction Medicine

Job Details:

  • Fully telehealth role providing psychiatric care to adult patients (18+) only, no pediatric population involved
  • Treat patients across a range of substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioids, heroin, and THC
  • Work alongside an addictions physician, with support from an in-house therapist for initial workups and a collaborating PCP through the partnering FQHC for medical issues
  • Conduct initial patient visits (45 minutes to 1 hour) and follow-up medication management visits (15 to 30 minutes)
  • EMR system: Secure Logic

Requirements:

  • MD or DO with active Pennsylvania state licensure
  • Comfort treating adult patients with substance use disorders across a range of substances
  • Willingness to collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including therapists, an addictions physician, and a partnering FQHC's primary care provider

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
