Psychiatry - North Dakota
- Position: Psychiatrist (MD)
- Location: North Dakota
- Schedule: Full-time or part-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (no evenings or weekends)
- Practice Type: Primarily outpatient with potential rotating schedule for inpatient and ED consults
- Patient Population: Individuals across the lifespan; pediatric experience and competence preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct health screenings and comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Prescribe, monitor, manage, and evaluate psychopharmacological medications
- Provide integrated mental health services within general health settings
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, social workers, and physician assistants
- Refer patients and seek consultations with other providers and medical specialties as needed for complex or comorbid conditions
- Utilize advanced health assessment and clinical decision-making skills to manage patient care independently and collaboratively
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to establish effective working relationships using tact, discretion, and diplomacy
- Competence in maintaining focus and exercising good judgment in busy or emergency environments
- Basic computer and keyboarding proficiency
- High level of customer service skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues
Education and Certifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) degree
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
- ABPP certification preferred but not required
- Child/adolescent certification preferred but not required
- Successful completion of the facility’s credentialing process prior to start
Compensation
- Base salary of $335,000
- Eligibility for additional compensation via bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based models
