To develop, facilitate and take part in psychiatric post‑graduate training for PMHP doctors in the Primary Mental Health Project (PMHP). Responsible for: training of doctors in Primary Mental Health; developing the training curriculum and materials for post‑graduate training in PMHP; taking part in further development of the mental health work in the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Giving theoretical and clinical training sessions to doctors and possibly nurses
- Consultancy for difficult cases, leading case presentations
- Developing materials and curriculum for the training
- Cooperating with different stakeholders involved in national medical training
Qualifications
- Qualified psychiatrist (adult psychiatry and possibly child psychiatry) with work experience
- A PhD would be an advantage
- Experience in post‑graduate training
- Experience/interest in working in a developing country
Desired skills
Needs a good knowledge of English, willing to learn the local language, training skills. Ideally someone who enjoys training and building the capacity of others. Responsible, flexible, a natural developer with self‑initiative; and who enjoys working in a multicultural team.
