Position Overview

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to provide mental health care to inmates, including evaluations, treatment, medication management, and coordination with medical staff. The role requires the oversight of psychiatric nurses, support for transfers, and participation in medical review committees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and medication management for inmate patients.
  • Maintain medical documentation and consent forms in alignment with protocols.
  • Oversee and collaborate with mental health staff, including nurses and care teams.
  • Participate in care coordination, emergency transfers, and review committees.
  • Ensure compliance with facility regulations and maintain HIPAA standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Doctorate in psychiatry.
  • Training and experience providing psychiatric services to an adult population.
  • Licensed physician in the state of employment.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry.
  • CPR Certified.
