New York City Children’s Center (NYCCC) – Queens Campus, an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Eligible and Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for their inpatient hospital located in Queens, New York. The shift schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 8:00AM - 10:30PM and holiday coverage.


Psychiatrists at NYCCC are part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides comprehensive, patient-centered, holistic team-based care to children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances including:

  • Providing psychiatric coverage after hours on weekends and holidays
  • Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and patient admissions
  • Creating treatment plans including medication management
  • Obtaining and reviewing appropriate laboratory tests and consulting with members of treatment team as needed
  • Providing individual and group psychotherapy
  • Supervising Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows

Minimum Qualifications:

Psychiatrist 1: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and completion of a training program in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.


Psychiatrist 2: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.


Psychiatrist 2 Children & Youth: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN, and certification in child and adolescent psychiatry approved by the ABPN.

This position is eligible for a Downstate Adjustment of $4,150.
