Psychiatrist

This locum tenens psychiatry opportunity in Ohio requires an MD to deliver comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care for adult male inmates within a secure correctional facility. The clinician will conduct detailed evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide ongoing medication management in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. The assignment spans a three-month minimum commitment with full-time weekday scheduling and no call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care for adult male inmates requiring mental health treatment within a correctional facility setting
• Conduct detailed psychiatric evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide ongoing medication management for patients with various mental health conditions including severe mental illness, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders
• Maintain thorough documentation
• Participate in treatment planning meetings
• Collaborate with nursing staff, correctional officers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective care delivery in the secure environment
