PsychiatristCompensation: $273,000 to $285,000 per yearJob Type: Full Time, Monday - Friday. 30-35 hours per week.Our client, a well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Nassau County, NY, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Psychiatrist to join their clinical team. This role provides an incredibly rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality, compassionate mental health care to a diverse community.Operating on a predictable, daytime schedule, this position allows you to make a profound clinical impact while working alongside a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, accurate diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans for both school-age and adult populations.Manage, monitor, and document psychiatric medications and therapeutic interventions competentlyOrder, interpret, and act on relevant diagnostic and laboratory testsEducate patients and their families on mental health treatment plans, preventative care, and holistic wellness practicesPartner and coordinate closely with primary care providers, specialists, and behavioral health staff to ensure seamless continuity of careMaintain accurate, secure, and timely psychiatric medical documentation, ensuring proper clinical codingParticipate actively in peer reviews, clinical education, quality improvement initiatives, and required continuing educationEnsure strict compliance with all local, state, federal, and billing regulatory standardsSplit operational time efficiently between two designated facility locations in Nassau County.
