Program : Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) is a state-of-the-art acute service that meets the needs of a diverse clientele, including acute evaluation and stabilization for adults and geriatrics, with consultation to MED, PEDS ED and Inpatient Medical units. We seek an outstanding psychiatrist with clinical leadership and teaching experience. We offer opportunities for leadership/teaching/learning with an ideal mix of academics and clinical service. There are opportunities for additional paid sessional work, with no mandatory on-call requirement.

Opportunity Details :

• Be the primary psychiatrist in charge during the overnight hours in our CPEP.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage acute psychiatric presentations.
• Document assessments, treatment plans and progress notes in the electronic health record in a timely manner.
• Coordinate disposition planning in conjunction with Social Work, Physician Assistant, and other medical staff.
• Document incidents in conjunction with other members of the treatment team.
• Support psychiatric emergencies and crisis intervention during the shift.
• Provide psychiatric consultation to the medical emergency room.
