Overview
Position Overview: As a Psychiatrist at Priority Group Services, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments of children and adolescents. Formulate accurate psychiatric diagnoses based on clinical evaluations.
- Treatment Planning: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans. Implement evidence-based practices to address emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed. Monitor and adjust medication regimens based on treatment progress.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with therapists, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate care. Provide consultation to team members regarding psychiatric aspects of cases.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with team members through written reports and meetings.
- Crisis Intervention: Participate in crisis intervention as needed. Provide support during emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Valid medical license in the state of New Jersey.
- Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
