Psychiatrist

Part-Time Psychiatrist | Manhattan, NY

An established nonprofit healthcare organization is seeking a Part-Time Psychiatrists to join its outpatient Behavioral Health Center in Manhattan.

This is an opportunity to provide meaningful psychiatric care to adults experiencing vision loss, low vision, or blindness, many of whom have complex medical and behavioral health needs.

Position Details:

📍 Location: Upper West Side, Manhattan

💰 Compensation: $170–$180/hour

🗓️ Schedule: 10–15 hours per week, over 2–3 weekdays

⏰ Hours: Monday–Friday, between 9 AM and 5 PM

🏥 Setting: Outpatient Behavioral Health

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental status assessments

• Manage psychotropic medications and monitor treatment progress

• Develop and oversee treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team

• Coordinate care with social workers, psychologists, primary care providers, and specialists

• Provide guidance on complex medical and psychiatric conditions

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in team meetings

Qualifications:

✔️ MD or DO with an active New York State medical license

✔️ Minimum of 2 years of post-residency experience in outpatient psychiatry, consult-liaison psychiatry, or psychosomatic medicine

✔️ DEA registration

✔️ Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry

✔️ Experience treating patients with disabilities, vision loss, or complex medical conditions is preferred

✔️ Spanish bilingual skills are strongly preferred
