Flushing Hospital Medical Center is seeking Board-eligible or Board-certified Inpatient Psychiatrists to join our comprehensive behavioral health program in Queens, NY.
Our inpatient services include an 18-bed psychiatric unit, a 30-bed medically managed detox unit (the only one in Queens), and outpatient and community-based programs. You will provide high-quality psychiatric care, participate in resident and medical student education, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Manage medications and provide psychotherapy
- Handle acute psychiatric crises, including psychosis and suicidal ideation
- Collaborate with social workers, nurses, and therapists to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in teaching and mentorship of residents and medical students
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited psychiatry residency program
- Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABPN) preferred
- Valid New York State medical license (or eligibility)
- Experience in inpatient psychiatry preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and team collaboration skills
