Salary: $300,000 - $375,000 per year

Flexible schedule, stable consultative psychiatry role, strong compensation, no overnight call, autonomy in the field, established referral base, and the ability to focus on evaluations, conservatorships, and meaningful psychiatric consult work.

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric evaluations and consultative behavioral health services throughout Fairfield County. This role is focused on adult and geriatric psychiatry, including psychiatric evaluations, capacity evaluations, conservatorship assessments, medication recommendations, and behavioral health consults. The Psychiatrist will work with patients, families, facility teams, attorneys or court-related stakeholders when applicable, and interdisciplinary care teams. This is a flexible, stable opportunity for a physician who enjoys evaluation-based psychiatry and consultative work.

Responsibilities

• Complete psychiatric evaluations for adult and geriatric patients
• Perform capacity evaluations and conservatorship-related assessments
• Provide medication recommendations and psychiatric consultation
• Collaborate with families, care teams, facilities, and community stakeholders
• Document evaluations and treatment recommendations clearly and timely
• Support patients with dementia, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and complex behavioral health needs
• Travel locally throughout Fairfield County as needed
• Maintain strong communication with referral partners and care teams

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut medical license required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, consultative psychiatry, or facility-based experience preferred
• Experience with capacity evaluations, conservatorships, competency evaluations, or psychiatric evaluations preferred
• Comfortable working independently
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Interest in meaningful evaluation-based psychiatry
