Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Psychiatrist - CPEP to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain high healthcare delivery standards.

The Behavioral Health Center offers a comprehensive suite of services for mental health, including First Episode Psychosis, medical services, opioid treatment, substance use disorder services, a unit for people with intellectual disability, inpatient and outpatient services for adults and children, and educational resources for patients and caregivers.

Opportunity Details

• Responsible for the overall functioning and clinical/administrative coverage of the CPEP.
• Conduct physical rounds of all units at the start of each shift during call to determine bed availability in coordination with the ADN.
• Respond to requests for psychiatric support in the management of agitated patients on any service in the Behavioral Health (BH) service.
• Weekend schedules are available at this time.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Active New York State Medical License.

Wages and Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $267,900* (board eligible); $278,200* (board certified) based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation may be available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $438,690** (board eligible) and $450,020** (board certified) , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on the previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution: immediately vest in 3% of base earnings; after one year, 7% additional company contribution. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions below market rates.
• Life Insurance and AD&D: Equal to 2x salary (up to $300,000) at no cost; additional voluntary coverage available.
