Psychiatrist Opportunity In Compton, CaliforniaVivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a psychiatrist in Compton, California. This is a locum tenens position (6 months to 1 year) providing psychiatric services for our client's community-based mental health program. This position can be 50% telemedicine.Position Summary: The program provides comprehensive mental health services to patients in LA County.
Services include assessment, consultation, outpatient and field-based care, crisis intervention, and both individual and group therapy.Assignment Details:Location: Compton, CASetting: OutpatientSchedule: Monday through Friday, business hours (flexible)Duration: Ongoing assignmentCompensation: Competitive hourly rate, paid weeklyResponsibilities:Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management, including prescriptions, renewals, and monitoring for continuity of care.Deliver psychiatric care to children and adolescents within the child welfare system; conduct field visits when clinically indicated.Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams and provide consultation to other clinicians regarding co-occurring disorders and client care.Coordinate with referral sources and external agencies to ensure integrated care and appropriate case management.Attend Child and Family Team meetings as needed.Identify and refer clients with medical issues to appropriate healthcare providers.Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling when required.Qualifications:Board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist (MD or DO).Active California medical license.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Computer proficiency and timely documentation skills.Vivo HealthStaff offers:Weekly direct depositMalpractice insurance providedFully digital onboarding and credentialingCredentialing assistance and compliance supportExperienced recruiter and account management team dedicated to your placementAbout Vivo HealthStaff: Vivo HealthStaff specializes in permanent and contract recruitment for healthcare organizations across the United States.
