Psychiatrist

An MD is needed for a locum tenens psychiatry assignment in Denver, Colorado, starting ASAP and ongoing. The clinician will provide full-time outpatient psychiatric services for an adult patient population at a community mental health center. Responsibilities include conducting initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management visits in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule with no call coverage required.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time outpatient psychiatric services for an adult patient population
• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations (approximately 1 hour)
• Conduct follow-up medication management visits for adults presenting with mood, anxiety, trauma-related, psychotic, and other behavioral health conditions
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary behavioral health team that includes psychiatric clinicians, psychologists, therapists, nurses, and case managers to support care planning and continuity of patient care
