Psychiatrist - Addiction Services

Provider Careers at NYC Health + Hospitals: We are recruiting a Psychiatrist - Addiction Services for the South Brooklyn Health Addiction Services outpatient clinic and opioid treatment program.

Opportunity Details

• Provide clinical care for patients in the outpatient addiction clinic and opioid treatment program.
• Diagnose substance use disorders and non‑substance related addiction disorders and recommend treatment that considers levels of care criteria.
• Assist medical leadership with Quality Assurance and Process Improvement projects as needed.
• Teach and train fellows, residents, and medical students rotating on addiction services, and prepare didactic presentations as needed.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (required).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry (preferred).
• Active New York State Medical License.

Wages and Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $267,900* (board eligible); $278,200* (board certified) based on a 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per‑diem hours.

• Estimated annual total value of the compensation package: $438,690** (board eligible) and $450,020** (board certified), including salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per‑diem hours, and other factors.
• Estimated compensation for 10 additional sessional/per-diem hours per week: $104,000***.
• Projected bonus up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent on meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution:
  • Employees immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings; no employee match required.
  • After one year of service, additional 7% company contribution; no employee match required.
