Psychiatrist - Addiction Services (29868)

We are looking for a Psychiatrist – Addiction Services to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health located in South Brooklyn, NY.

Opportunity Details

• Provide clinical care for patients in the outpatient addiction clinic and opioid treatment program.
• Diagnose substance use disorders and non‑substance related addiction disorders and recommend treatment that considers levels of care criteria.
• Assist medical leadership with Quality Assurance and Process Improvement projects as needed.
• Teach and train fellows, residents, and medical students rotating on addiction services, as well as preparing didactic presentations as needed.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (required).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry (preferred).
• Active New York State Medical License.

Wages and Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $267,900 (board eligible); $278,200 (board certified) for a 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

Estimated Total Compensation: $438,690 (board eligible) and $450,020 (board certified) including baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours and other factors.

Additional Compensation:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week: $104,000.
• Projected bonus up to $40,000 based on meeting quality and productivity targets.

• 401(k) company contribution: 3% immediately vested of base earnings; after one year of service an additional 7% of base earnings.
