Travel Percentage : 0%Schedule Workweek : Mon-Fri "Other" Explanation : To be determined.Hours Per Week : 40Workday From : 6 AM To : 6 PM Flextime allowed? : No Mandatory overtime? : No Compressed workweek allowed? : No Telecommuting allowed? : NoLocation County : St Lawrence Street Address : St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center - Gouverneur Wellness Center : 166 Factory St. City : Gouverneur State: NY Zip Code: 13642Job Specifics Duties Description : St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center (SLPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists to work at the Gouverneur Wellness Center.As a Psychiatrist at SLPC, you will provide comprehensive, patient centered, and recovery focused treatments to individuals with mental illness 18 year of age or older; including:• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and patient admissions• Creating treatment plans including medication management• Obtaining and reviewing appropriate laboratory tests and consulting with members of treatment team as needed• Providing individual and group psychotherapy Minimum Qualifications : Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (HELPS) program if they have:Psychiatrist 1: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and completion of a training program in psychiatry approved by the ABPN; or forPsychiatrist 2: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.ORCandidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
