Job Details

Location: West Hartford, CT
Salary: $155,000 – $185,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations and behavioral health consultations
• Complete hospital‑based psychiatric consults and follow‑up visits
• Assess adult and/or geriatric patients with behavioral health needs
• Manage psychiatric medications and treatment recommendations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and care teams
• Support crisis intervention, treatment planning, and care coordination
• Document visits, assessments, and clinical recommendations in the EMR
• Provide compassionate, patient‑centered psychiatric care

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut APRN license
• PMHNP certification strongly preferred
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner experience
• Hospital, inpatient, consult‑liaison, adult psychiatry, or geriatric psychiatry experience preferred
• Strong medication management and psychiatric assessment skills
• DEA and controlled substance prescribing ability preferred
• Comfortable working in a hospital‑based interdisciplinary setting
