Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Compensation: $107.64 - $119.60 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and follow-up care while exercising independent medical judgment.
- Monitor and manage psychotropic medications, including effectiveness, side effects, and required follow-up.
- Collaborate with mental health, medical, and administrative teams to ensure consistent psychiatric and mental health services.
- Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in required meetings, consultations, and on‑call coverage.
- Support crisis intervention, referrals, transfers, and emergency or involuntary treatment processes as allowed by scope of practice.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Master of Science in Nursing or Post‑Master’s Certificate from an accredited nurse practitioner program with a specialty in psychiatric mental health across the lifespan.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a PMHNP required (may be waived with approval of the Vice President of Advanced Practice Program).
- Corrections experience in a PMHNP role preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
- Unrestricted current license to practice as a PMHNP in the state of practice.
- Current board certification as a PMHNP.
- Current DEA registration (unless determined optional by the Chief Psychiatric Officer).
- Current BLS certification.
