Position Summary

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Blackbird Health, you will deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults. You will build meaningful connections with patients and families, supporting engagement in treatment, educating them about care options, and providing ongoing support. You will ensure patients progress toward their goals and maintain safety while working alongside an interdisciplinary team to make a tangible difference.

How you'll make an impact

  • Provide Comprehensive Psychiatric Care: Conduct evaluations, assessments, diagnoses; develop personalized treatment plans; manage medication tailored to each patient.
  • Build Meaningful Therapeutic Relationships: Spend necessary time with families, educate, and maintain engagement.
  • Drive Patient Progress & Safety: Monitor progress, adjust plans, intervene proactively to keep patients safe.
  • Collaborate for Integrated Care: Work closely with therapists and other professionals to create comprehensive plans and participate in weekly team meetings.
  • Educate & Empower Families: Offer consultation and education to help families understand diagnoses, options, and support strategies.
  • Ensure Clinical Excellence & Compliance: Oversee diagnostic testing, maintain HIPAA‑compliant records, perform related clinical activities.

The basics you'll need

  • Work a minimum of 12 hours per week during peak "after school hours" (after 4 pm ET on weekdays or any time on weekends).
  • Hybrid partnership with Lafayette College: 1 day per week onsite at the college.
  • Master's Degree from an accredited nursing program, PMHNP‑BC certification, and at least one year of independent experience under licensure.
  • Active Pennsylvania PMHNP/CRNP/APN license, DEA license, and State Prescriptive Authority

Salary Range: $72,500 USD – $175,500 USD
