Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Float)

Four Winds Hospital is a premier provider of specialized inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for children, adolescent and adults. We foster a collaborative, team-based environment where PMHNPs work alongside attending psychiatrists, social workers and nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.

We are seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Float) for our Saratoga Springs campus. This role offers clinical variety and leadership opportunities while providing flexible cross-unit coverage, admission evaluations and ongoing psychiatric management for our patients.

This position is 100% in-person, onsite at our Saratoga Springs campus.

Position highlights:

• Hours: Monday - Friday (day shift)


• Rotation: Occasional Saturday rotation and holiday coverage as scheduled


• Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and admission evaluations


• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications and oversee treatment plans


• Provide high-quality psychiatric cross-unit care for child, adolescent and adults


• Collaborate with the Medical Director and multidisciplinary treatment team

Qualifications

• Current, active NYS license as a RN and PMHNP with prescriptive authority


• ANCC Board Certification as a PMHNP-BC is preferred


• 3+ years of PMHNP experience in an inpatient or acute setting is preferred


• Strong diagnostic, pharmacological and interpersonal communication skills
