Job Overview

Thriveworks is currently seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Worcester, MA. Clinicians must be licensed and living in the state where they practice.

Compensation

This is a Fee for Service (W2) position. The annual salary ranges from $147,000 to $212,000, based on 25-35 clinical hours per week.

Clinical Responsibilities

Thriveworks Nurse Practitioners provide care to a diverse population of clients with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more. They work with adults and adolescents, with a future focus on expanding care across the lifespan. They provide psychiatric assessments and evaluations in ongoing in‑person and telemedicine capacity. Responsibilities include: prescribing medication, creating and collaborating on care plans, completing and administering appropriate paperwork and assessment tools, adhering to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines, and consulting with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients, programs, and services.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner—Board Certification required
  • Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in the state
  • Minimum one year of psychiatry practice; additional three years is a plus
  • Knowledge of AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR is a plus
  • All clinicians complete in‑house training on ADHD treatment standards and a certification exam

What We Need

  • Skill in making psychiatric assessments and evaluations of clients in an ongoing in‑person and telemedicine capacity
  • Willingness to treat clients 14 years old and up
  • Ability to prescribe medication to reduce mental health symptoms, as needed
  • Capability to create and collaborate with clients on care plans
  • Proficiency in completing and administering appropriate paperwork and assessment tools for clients
  • Adherence to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines
  • Consultation with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients, programs, and services at various sites
