Psychiatric Nurse

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Psych ED / Emergency Department

Start Dates: 11/02 or 11/16

Location: Durham, NC

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 36 Hours/Week, Every Other Weekend Required

Charting System: Epic

Scrub Color: Royal Blue

PAY DETAILS:

Hourly Pay: $50 - $60/hr

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Psychiatric Emergency Department experience
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience managing patients with acute psychiatric and behavioral health emergencies
• Strong de-escalation and crisis intervention skills

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• CPI (required or willing to obtain during compliance)
• NIHSS

Special Requirements

• Must pass onsite EKG/Telemetry Exam
• Flu Vaccine Required (No Exemptions)
• Floating to Medical ED required
• Every Other Weekend Required
• No On-Call
• One supervisory reference from the last year required
