Responsibilities
The PMHNP role at NIE Health revolves around the nursing process andtherapeutic relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Educating patients and families,
- Diagnosing and managing acute illnesses, providing psychotherapy,prescribing medication, care coordination, referrals, ordering andinterpreting lab tests, diagnostic studies, and offering preventative care.
- These services are delivered through various modalities, includingtelephonic or video consultation, education for providers, resourcecoordination, collaboration with peers, and both in-person and virtualconsultations.
