- Provide outpatient behavioral health services within a collaborative primary care setting
- Provide Advanced Practice Provider services, including assessment and management of patients within the scope of licensing, training, and credentialing
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for adolescents and adults
- Diagnose and treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based medication management and therapeutic interventions
- Prescribe, adjust, and monitor psychotropic medications in accordance with Virginia regulations and clinical best practices
- Provide ongoing follow-up care, symptom management, treatment monitoring, and medication education
- Collaborate with primary care providers, nursing, and care management teams to support integrated patient care
- Coordinate referrals to specialty behavioral health services, counseling, substance use treatment, and community resources
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a patient-centered, team-based care environment
- Work 32 patient-facing hours plus 8 administrative hours per week; schedule may include weekends and/or evenings
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Current or eligible Virginia Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licensure
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority eligibility
- Minimum of 3 years of psychiatric practice experience
- Ability to practice independently and manage a diverse outpatient psychiatric patient panel
- Experience with ages 5 and up
- Must reside in Virginia and deliver all care from within the Commonwealth
- Reliable high-speed internet required for video-based patient care
- Private, confidential workspace suitable for clinical telehealth
- Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills
- Attention to detail and ability to write legibly
- Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs.
