Network Security ConsultantThe Network Security Consultant will provide delivery leadership within the Professional Services consultancy team primarily aligned to clients in the USA region. This client-facing role includes the following responsibilities.Delivery:Act as a technical lead in delivery of projects acting as a network security SME, ensuring that solutions remain in scope and are aligned to agreed business requirements, appropriate delivery methodologies are followed, and that effective governance is appliedDelivery of smaller stand-alone projects as requiredProvide support and guidance to consultants working on other Network Security projectsProvide peer reviews of HLD, LLD and other project documentation as requiredWork with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and prepare appropriate technical solution designs at both high and low levels.Personal or General:Maintain day to day records of project work to allow accurate billing and reporting of consultancy timeMaintain effective network of business contacts within client and their partner communityMaintain and grow their own knowledge to ensure this maintains fully relevant to the network security services practice and its clientsHave strong presentation and written or verbal communications skills at multiple levels of an organizationHave a minimum of 5 plus years of network security consulting, design and delivery experience.As a Network Security Consultant candidate will bring:Technical expertise with very strong skills in most of the technologies below:Firewalls: Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD, FortinetProxy Services: Bluecoat (forward or reverse proxy), ZscalerLoad Balancers: F5 (LTM/GTM)IDP/IPS: FirePower/Sourcefire IPS/IDS, McAfeeIdentity and Access Management: Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass policy managerRouting and Switching: (CCNP/CCNA level), and good knowledge of SD-WAN deploymentsGood understanding of key technologies such as: VRF, dynamic routing (EIGRP/BGP/OSPF), MPLS, DMVPN, GRE, IPSec VPNRemote Access VPN: GlobalProtect, Pulse Secure, Cisco AnyConnectKnowledge of Cloud deployments (Azure/AWS/GCP)Experience with building, maintaining, reviewing all configurations/settings/policies on chosen technologiesExperience of multi-vendor, managed outsourcing environmentsExperience working with operational environments following ITIL frameworksExcellent documentation and presentation skillsExcellent troubleshooting skills (technical and non-technical)Ability to review processes and procedures – and improve themExperience participating in network and system security projects to provide:Business requirements analysis and support for Solutions ArchitectsProduction of detailed infrastructure designs including physical and virtual aspects of security componentsMigration of complex legacy infrastructures to new managed security services platformsUnderstanding and demonstrable experience working in an Agile environment and actively participating in a Scrum teamExperience using Jira to help define user stories, tasks and associated estimates.
