The scope of this project will include replacing the current HR, Payroll, Financial and other components of an ERP. This will be one of the State’s largest undertaking and requires an Executive Sponsor who has experience in delivering large IT projects of this scale.The Project Executive has responsibility for all aspects of the State’s implementation of its ERP system. This includes overseeing the ERP integration vendor, leading the State ERP team, serving as the primary point of contact to state business owners.
The Project Executive reports directly the State Chief of IT for Applications who reports to the State CIO.The Executive Sponsor will provide the following:Ensure the State’s strategic plan are aligned with the ERP project implementationPrimary manager/point of contact to ERP project team and integration vendorCreation/definition of and operation of ERP program governance including executive committee meetings and reportingERP implementation planning and execution (incident and problem management, development, systems integration testing, user acceptance testing support, application deployment, post-deployment monitoring)Oversight of ERP SAS applicationPrimary point of contact to business. Including:Communication and decision making on ERP program governance activities and changesCommunication and oversight of ERP production incidentsFacilitation of decision making for ERP application SAS release planningSupport and oversight of business/agency IT staff that support ERP project.Oversight of ERP IT related vendor contractsStrategic advisor to business on ERP program management.Owner for ERP State IT activities and team which includes:Establish and manage State side ERP implementation teamOversight of ERP SAS applicationOversight of ERP SAS application release planning and executionOversight of ERP incident and problem managementOversight of ERP user acceptance testingAdvisory and reporting into DoIT leadership team for all ERP matters such as application management, vendor management, contracts, procurement, staff managementRequired Skills: ERP implementation planning and execution (incident and problem management, development, systems integration testing, user acceptance testing support, application deployment, post-deployment monitoring) ERP SAS applicationBasic Qualification: Communication and decision making on ERP program governance activities and changes Communication and oversight of ERP production incidents Facilitation of decision making for ERP application SAS release planning Support and oversight of business/agency IT staff that support ERP project.
