Prototype Coordinator SupervisorPosition Summary: The Prototype Coordinator Supervisor is responsible for managing customer prototype orders from receipt through delivery. This role acts as a key liaison between customers, engineering, laboratory teams, and operations to ensure accurate order processing, timely production, and on-time shipment of prototype components. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with ERP systems in a fast-paced manufacturing or development environment.
This person will also supervise a team of containment technicians and an inventory control specialist.Key Responsibilities:Act as Supervisor for the Interiors Prototype TeamMaintain group staffing levels based on new launch program team workloadAdminister performance appraisals effectively and on timeReceive, review, and process customer purchase orders for prototype and low-volume production partsRespond to customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with accurate and timely informationCommunicate confirmed delivery dates and updates to customers regarding part requirements and order statusCreate, update, and maintain detailed order summary sheets to track project progress and requirementsEnter, manage, and invoice customer purchase orders within the Plex ERP systemMaintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and part-related data within the Plex systemSchedule and release prototype build jobs in Plex to support production timelinesCoordinate cross-functional activities to ensure on-time shipment of customer deliverablesCollaborate closely with engineering and laboratory teams to support prototype development, testing, and validation activitiesMonitor order progress and proactively resolve issues that may impact delivery commitmentsWork Environment:Automotive prototype and low-volume production environmentFast-paced, deadline-driven setting aligned with customer program milestonesFrequent collaboration with engineering, lab/testing, and manufacturing teamsMay require schedule flexibility to support launch timing and critical program deliverablesPosition Requirements - JOB QUALIFICATIONS:2–5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, prototype coordination, production planning, or program support preferredExperience working with ERP systems (Plex strongly preferred)Familiarity with automotive processes such as APQP, PPAP, and prototype build phases (A/B/C samples) preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and changing prioritiesExcellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teamsDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilityProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Education Requirement - Associate's or Bachelor's degree or other certification based training in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fieldFull-Time/Part-Time - Full-TimeShift - DaysLocation - Inteva Products, LLC - Vandalia Technical CenterAbout the Organization - Inteva Products is a leading global automotive supplier providing innovative, reliable, environmentally friendly products that enhance vehicle quality, safety and performance.
