Proto-Trak MachinistThe Proto-Trak Machinist will produce machined parts by setting up and operating various pieces of CNC machinery including lathes and milling centers; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.About This Role: We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:Set-up and operate Proto-Trak, CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers, mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets and compensation; including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.Sets up Proto-Trak's, CNC lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets; indicating vices; tramming heads.Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards.Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Documents actions by completing production and quality work orders and logs.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Qualifications:Ability to work utilizing a partial face respirator (<5% of time)Ability to perform CNC Machinist Job Duties listedCNC setup and operationAbility to lift 70 poundsThis position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain security clearanceEducation and Experience levels will be determined by the hiring team.
